It took me quite a while to get it sorted. It is frustrating to have that happy place of things settling down looking like a reachable goal during the 2 week load, only for it to get lost again when you go to twice weekly.
I have seen guidelines from some care commissioning groups that say use it every day for two weeks then alternate days for two weeks.
I tried this, but could never get down to every third day. It also gets messed up if you still have periods. I use sequential hrt which has helped a little too, but you get the cyclical change in hormones still which messes things up, so I make sure I am well loaded before the bleeding.
My prescription said to use one or two twice weekly

So I use about the same as if you doubled up.
It does get better the longer you use it. Having said that though, I seem to have messed it up again

If I think everything is going remarkably well and I am not using so much vagifem, it is the cue for it all to go wrong immediately.
For bladder, it really helps to have a day where you are at home for the day where you keep a glass of water by you and drink as much as you need, alongside your usual tea breaks etc. With easy access to the loo, you can drink as much as you want and let your bladder stretch a bit. It takes some of the irritability out of it and will help you go longer through the night too.
