The NICE guildelines actually state that problematic VA is likely return if local oestrogen is stopped - so I interprete that as the ok to use local oestrogen for the long term.
There info that comes with any local oestrogen should reflect the NICE guidelines. It's crazy that the leaflet is the same as for full systemic HRT.

I would shout and scream if my GP even hinted that I had to stop any of my medications  .  I threatened last time he was ticking boxes that I would camp on his doorstep should I have to stop !
