So dopey on conti : any tips?
« on: January 25, 2023, 12:43:47 PM »

Hello all, further to my six weeks of bleeding after I switched to conti (in another topic), I doubled my progesterone dose with my GP's approval to 200mg daily. It's definitely helped: I haven't yet bled again, 2 weeks in, and I'm sleeping better. I still get stomach cramps but I can live with those.

I wonder though whether you have any tips on how the heck I can wake up in the mornings? My alarm goes off at 7 but even though I get up and do yoga and am out of bed, I still feel so dopey as to be sedated. If I went back to bed I'd be out for the count for hours. I only really start to wake up at 10 or 11. This has been since I doubled the utrogestan.

I'd just like to feel more awake: any tips?

I take 200mg utrogestan in the late evening, vaginally.
Also taking daily multivit and mineral, extra magnesium and omega3.

thanks all

You could try taking it earlier. If that doesn't work it's either a change of prog or use a sequi regime instead. That's the reason I'm still on sequi but I'm dopey all day not just in the morning.

aye I responded to you on my other thread about going back to sequi, I really don't want to. I'll try taking it earlier. Thanks.
