I didn't realise omeprazole could do that. My Mum has problems with her hair and I'm sure she takes it. Mine has thinned. i didn't have any problems with my hair on Yasmin, it as good.  It was the best on Femodene and I believe the progestegen in that is in the pipeline for HRT  I'd try Angeliq, but I need higher estrogen. I do hope it settles for you m

Yes Katia one of the rare side effects of omeprazole is hair loss I was lucky that my hair was very thick to start with but a few months of taking it my hair came out in handfuls, was awful, it did grow back when I stopped taking it but it's never been the same since ::)think its something to do with the nutrients needed for hair growth don't get absorbed because of the omeprazole.

Hi Marie62

I have just reached the 3 month mark on Angeliq. The first 3 weeks I suffered bloating and stomach issues, all settled now. This is common on HRT tabs.

Angeliq is the best combi I have tried although iv had some spotting along with low mood for 7 days a bit like a very light period with PMT symptoms. Hope it settles soon. I also use a blob of testogel which seem a good mix. Still have a few sweats between 10.00am - 12.00mid day not sure why I get these at the same time every day ??? no sweats during the night but very vivid dreams. I take my tablet at 5.00pm.

I will give a update this weekas I find it helps other ladies.

I liked the progestegen in it on yasmin.  I'm struggling with utrogestan.  I wonder if it's possible to switch to Angeliq and a pump of gel for the estrogen?????

Hi Katie,

Angeliq has 1mg Oestrodol in it, my gyne did say I could had only one pump of oestrogel if required.

For me I find anxiety is high on too much Oestrodiol so only use half a pump some days, hope to manage on just Angeliq in the coming weeks

Stomach still not that good :-\went to the pharmacist who suggested sticking with the HRT and just to take Gaviscon so will try that and hope it settles soon, I've suffered from acid reflux before the memo then surprisingly it stopped when my periods stopped 5 years ago but this HRT has caused it to return can't win  ::)

I got a bit of it for the first time last month with the HRT.  My consultant said there are a lot of studies coming out on the benefits of fennel.  Maybe try fennel capsules.
