No period for 2 years now period symptoms
« on: July 13, 2017, 08:07:23 PM »

Hi Girls

I haven't posted for a while because things settled down. My last period was 2 years ago but 2 weeks ago I started getting discharge again so I had an ultrasound which was clear. Today I've got period-like pains and sore boobs and sensitive nipples and craving sugar. What's going on? Anyone else had this?

Maybe take some pain relief over-night?  Did your GP suggest anything or is it a wait and watch?

She doesn't know about the period symptoms. I'm off on holiday today so if it doesn't settle, I'll go and see her again when I get home x

Hi Libby

Just to say you have done the best thing having a scan, but I think you could look back at your previous posts for more reassurance because you had a slight bleed with symptoms last year in January which makes you only 18 months on from the last try. Oestrogen doesn't fall to a low level for up to 2 years after your last period, and although your last period before this was nothing much it probably still represents hormonal activity. You can go back and see her after your holiday but at least you have a record from your previous posts to refer to as I find these so helpful. So lovely to hear from you again as you really helped me in the past.xx

I panic too which is normal, and you have done the right thing, and I would go back after your holiday if you are still worried. At least though you know you have had more recent hormonal activity than the 2 years you thought. I love this site as it is like a record of things that otherwise I wouldn't keep or remember in my head! The clue is the sugar cravings thing - I have this now! Def hormonal and I'm in a bad mood generally!

Yes I will do. I'm just waiting to see if I have a bleed or whether it's just symptoms  :-\

I'm traveling to Cornwall with a bag of wine gums  ;D
