New to forum and new to HRT
« on: June 21, 2017, 03:44:12 AM »

Hello everyone! I've made the decision to start HRT. I am on day 3 of Femoston 1/10. My first night on Femoston was tough, with cramps and vomiting (just like morning sickness). I was so stressed, between the debilitating hot flushes, nausea, tears, but as it was only day 1, thought I must push through. Day 2 has gone ok. I slept (mostly) through the night for the first time in ages. Day 3 and my mood has lifted considerably. While I feel fatigued, I'm excited that I may be getting my life back soon! Anyone else have hiccups starting Femoston?

I'm 47, managed endometriosis and secondary infertility for many years, and am relieved to have found this forum to share the next stage in my hormonal journey.

Hi there, it takes up to 3 months and sometimes longer for HRT to kick in entirely so you are very early on in the process - although excellent that you are feeling a bit better - keep a diary regarding symptoms (a lot of the ladies will suggest that) that you can potentially share with your doc.  If still in doubt, make an appointment with one of the menopause specialists recommended on this site.  Good luck and keep posting

Hi there I hope femoston works for you I'm due to start on it soon my neighbour was on it for 17 years and loved it and it was suggested as a good one to try on here..I'll keep an eye on how you're getting on.  The sleep part is music to my ears as that's the biggest reason I want to start hrt the lack of sleep constantly for 4 years. Good luck keep us informed

Thanks for the feedback! I must be patient and take one day at a time. I'll keep posting, and look forward to seeing how you all go on Femoston.

Hi Secondspring, I've just picked up my first prescription for Femoston 1/10, am planning to start it on Saturday. I wanted to try it after reading lots of info and posts on here, as the sweats (mostly night), tiredness and aching joints are making me feel like a slug. I hope you continue to feel better on it, sounds positive if you've noticed it in 3 days, long may it continue! Rachel
