Hi Ladies,
I received a letter today to go for a Smear Test I'm wondering how many days I should stop using Replens for before having the test done. xx

For HRT it says 2/3 nights - there should be a booklet with your invitation which tells you all you need to know.
I haven't booked mine yet: my log in failed and it's been too hot to go to the Surgery to book the appt. nor can I lay there in this heat!

I would just make sure you do not use it on the morning of the test, then use some after.

I just looked it up to avoid any confusion and the cervical screening leaflet states:
"Please don't use any vaginal medications, lubricant or creams in the 2 days
before you have your test because they can affect the sample
your nurse or doctor takes."

It is only moisturiser. It says elsewhere not to have sex for 24hrs prior because of lubes/barrier contraception etc.
It is important not to splodge something all over your cervix just before - that is why they don't use much KY now
Personally, I would not make myself uncomfortable for it.

I shouldn't have any problems with not using anything for 24 hours. >phew< .

Eventually - little steps ;-). Fishing, gardening, housework to watch, MotoGP - will think about later next week as we have dentals on Monday
- pity I can't get both done at the same time
