Prolapse cramping
« on: May 28, 2017, 05:22:21 PM »

Oh me oh my, cramping today. Thankfully appointment at prolapse clinic is coming up soon. Heck it's like having period pains all over again. Is cramping normal? GP said unusual when she referred me. There was no urine infection, so not that.

Oh heavens, I've got a slight rectocelle but I don't have cramping. Just a heaviness especially in the mornings.
My mother, I do remember, had this though. She had a ring fitted and did well for many years with that. Not long to wait till your appointment though so hopefully that will get things sorted out for you.
Does pain relief help at all....couple of paracetamol maybe.
Feet up and no heavy lifting until you know what's what.

Mine is a slight rectocelle too. Definitely feels like something is pushing down. Maybe I should hang bat like. 😂😂😂 Always thought having had C Sections & hysterectomy this wouldn't be a problem. Got that one wrong.

I had three C sections but it seemingly makes no difference.

How would you describe your rectocelle.
I've always been a ...go in the morning type person. Until I do I feel heavy and uncomfortable.
I was told by my GP to do pelvic floor excercises and that was it. I have done and can't feel any difference. I'm going to try a different  GP to see if I get a referral this time.

If I've been on my feet for too long then things get worse.....so try your feet up for a while.

I was doing lots of cleaning today. I was feeling agitated over something, so took it out on cleaning.

Small cherry tomato springs to mind. Great description eh?! 😂

Been doing kegel exercises, but not sure it's making much difference.

Today has been really bad. 9th of June can't come fast enough. Took pain relief earlier, which helped a bit. Worn off now, trying to hold off until bedtime. Feet up & hope that helps until then.

Really don't understand the pain CG.

Is it like period pain or muscular. Could you have strained something do you think. Have you picked up anything heavy over the last few days.

Period pain. Suffered with that for years. Rested up on sofa tonight with hot water bottle & pain has subsided for now. Problem seems to be exacerbated with sitting. Yesterday I thought it was the act of going to the toilet to have a wee or poo, but think it's more to do with sitting. Not sure what cause is if I'm honest, even GP wasn't convinced it was prolapse causing it. I've been not too bad since she referred me. I was in quite a bit of pain back then, but it slowly went away, apart from odd niggle. This last few days it's come back with a vengeance!

Sounds more muscular to be honest. Have you done any heavy lifting or anything like that.

Not long until your seen so rest up until then.

Hope it is something like that. If its muscular, it must be lack of muscle.  ::)

Sorry you have got cramping. The only time I experienced cramping was when my uterus began to prolapse (found out later obviously but was really concerned when it happened) and it gave me the most horrible period type cramps which went right from front to back and I really didn't know what to do with myself. I had a cystocele already but didn't get any cramping with that. Nurofen helped a bit plus a hot water bottle. Hope you get some relief soon! It does mention pain here https://patient.info/health/genitourinary-prolapse-leaflet under "What are the symptoms."

Wondering if there's a possibility it is adhesions. I had similar pain years ago before my ovaries were removed. Operation took longer than expected as lots of adhesions along my C Sections/hysterectomy scarline. Guess I'll find out more next Friday. Pain is along that area.

That could be what it is. My son's girlfriend has severe pelvic pain issues caused by adhesions from several unsuccessful attempts to get rid of her endometriosis. She has found out quite a lot from the Pelvic Pain Support Network http://www.pelvicpain.org.uk/index.php?page=adhesions
