Sorry, I’ve not been here for a while. We have been so lost without a dog in our life, and after 8 weeks we caved and rescued another Malinois called Max who’s been with us for 9 weeks. He’s been fostered by a dog handler who has done wonders with him. He’s well trained, very polite, and loves using his nose for scent work.

I’ve discovered the sport of mantrailing. Max is a pro, but I’ve only done two sessions so have a lot of catching up to do but team Max is brilliant.

I will never forget Martha, but after 4 applications to adopt dogs and then finding that there were criteria they didn’t meet, I swear Martha found Max for us.

man-trailing is 'the thing' at the moment, hard work and 1 has to be fit  ;D.  Similar to working huskies without the requirements for snow.  Will u join a group?

I’ve been to sessions with 2 instructors and am slowly catching g up with Max’s skills.

And it seems I’m fitter than I thought 🥰

Sounds like you’re doing everything you can for Martha! I’ve seen similar issues with older dogs, and it’s great that you caught it early. I totally agree that hormones can play a big role in health. When my dog was having some anxiety and joint pain, adding a supplement helped a lot. It might not be a direct comparison, but keeping an eye on her overall wellness while she’s on Incurin could make a difference.
