Advice please :)
« on: May 01, 2017, 08:31:25 PM »

Hi everyone,

I just need a bit of advice as I am all confused and have no idea what is going on with myself so I thought i would ask on here and get your opinions :)

I was on Premique 0.625/5mg (continued pills as post menopausal) it was discontinued recently and I was put on Indivinia 2mg/5mg by my doctor and I am on 4th month of it, nearly all of my symptoms have disappeared but I still have anxiety and it is bothering me as when I was on Premique, I felt fab, anxiety levels went down etc but now I have found my anxiety levels are back up.

Yes I have been stressed lately as am extremely unhappy in my job and things been happening so I am unsure if my anxiety is due to the stress or the HRT. I have had normal anxiety since i was 14.
It is confusing time for me as I am like is it normal anxiety or is it menopausal anxiety as i like to call it .  The reason I am on HRT is cos i went through early menopause at 31 years old, I am 33 soon.

Help? haha.

Hi sparkle weirdo
It sounds to me as though it's the work stress that is probably your main problem. I think the type and dose of progesterone in Indivina HRT is the same as Premique - the only real difference is that this type of HRT has a different, more natural, type of oestrogen which is better to use generally. Your body may still be adjusting to this new type of oestrogen so perhaps stick with this for a few more months and it should settle.
I assume you've done CBT and do relaxation techniques to help with anxiety?
Can you find ways to improve your work situation or even find a new job?
HRT can't fix everything. I had an early meno and though I used HRT for nearly 25 years, I now beleive that HRT doesn't truly replace the natural hormones - it's simply better than nothing. DG x

Hi Dancinggirl,

I will keep on with Indivinia for a while and see how I feel in few months time.
I am currently going through CBT at the minute and i am generally rubbish at doing relaxation techniques as my mind just constantly whirr on.
I did have a meeting with my manager about improving my work situation but the outcome was that nothing will change and that I am already on fixed shifts so pretty have to put up with it until I find a new job, I am looking for new jobs but it is hard cos of my disability which is putting employers off me. (I am fully deaf)
I have an interview at college to do art course, hopefully i will get on it and it will become my creative outlet from work.

I am only on HRT/Vitamins to keep my body healthy as per as doctor said cos I am so young and then when my 50's comes around, i will decide then if i want to carry on or try and see if my body have adapted better and that i can go without HRT.

Thank you for replying to me.
