Rash

Has anyone experienced a rash? A fine nettle like rash that started on my chest and has spread over my stomach, tops of legs and back? I'm not sure if it's menopause related or not. It's not a dry skin rash. I've taken antihistamines and tried steroid cream, neither of them helped. It's so itchy,mi feel like a monkey

I had one on my stomach, chest and back but I've never really worked out if it was hormonal or a reaction to hair dye. I took antihistamines but my doctor told me I'd been taking the wrong ones and I should be taking Piriton rather than Piriteze. When I took Piriton it disappeared in a week. It is awful itching! Calamine lotion might help.

Thank you. I haven't yet worked out if it's hormonal or an allergy. It's awful. My stomach is the worst and it seems to be spreading by the day. I got some E45 itch cream today, so ive tried that tonight and will see how it does. I'll also try the cetirizine. I believe it piritoneze and if that doesn't work then piriton. I've tried a different anti histamine which didn't work. I e tried an Epsom salt bath, but the hot bath probably isn't helping. Thanks for the suggestions.

I have had a lot of itchiness in peri but it seemed to go for a while and now has come back again. It seems to be worse in the night and I think it's because I'm having night sweats. I don't have a rash with it though just redness where I scratch.

Mine gets worse in the evening and overnight. It's itchy in the morning and gets a bit better during he day. The dermatologist is treating it with anti itch cream, anti histamines and steroid cream. I switched from cilest to femodene, which has helped with bleeding and the rash went, but I have some spots and my skin and hair have dried more on femodene.

Thanks Stellajane. I'd taken Cilest for 2 years with no problems u till bleeding recently. I may give it another go to see if the rash comes back. I'm unsure if I'm losing some hair with femodene. I also read low progesterone can cause night sweats. Everything seems to contradict itself.

Stellajane, I wonder if that's what's happening. I'm taking the pill and still getting hot at night. I think the rash may be something to do with the heat. It's so difficult to pin it down with so much going on. It's like all bells and whistles are off. I've also read peri causes allergies and sensitivity to increase
