I needed to ask ladies,am I alone in not wanting sex at all with my hubby.
I love him to bits, and no it doesn't hurt on the rare occasion when we do get together. But I just have no lust, no emotion, no drive...Numb.
I think hubby understands but I worry that he will get bored waiting around and go elsewhere. I am post menopausal and using ADs rather than HRT ,I also have osteoarthritis and waiting on a knee op.
I'm 48 and hubby is 38

Hi Tracii! It's a yes from me!! I couldn't care less if Johnny Depp showed up naked. I can and do respond eventually but sometimes stimulation hurts and orgasms are a half hearted attempt  (Sorry if TMI)
 I think this is all very normal - have you chatted to him about this as understanding will help. I'm also 48 but in peri. I think!

Hello Tracii and welcome to the forum.

I think numb is a very good description for our lack of interest in sex and perhaps men in general. It's probably mother nature's way of reminding us we can't make babies anymore so why expend the energy?
There are ladies here who use testosterone as part of their HRT and I think that reinstates their libido so hopefully one of them will be along to advise you.

It's a known side effect of anti depressants.  Add to that changes at menopause and is it any wonder libido/response is seriously kaiboshed

Hi there.
I am 6 years on tgis journey of peri....meno....Mirena and AD's.
I must be odd......single but I love sex......no I don't go looking for it but miss the closeness of a partner......two husbands.......both ex's and cheated on me! Maybe they wanted less sex who knows.
