I'm on Tibolone and Vagifem and have asked here about how to stop the VA externally and been given super advice so thankyou ladies
Saw our young well woman nurse today to ask for ovestin . This nurse joined the practice last May from the local gynae dept and it was her that started the ball rolling for me to try testosterone or Tibolone, I was refused but then a chat on the phone to a gp in sept about yet another UTI led to the scan that revealed no ovaries so this gp asked a gynae consultant for advice who came back advising testosterone or Tibolone. I opted for testosterone first but since swapped to Tibolone
This girl remembers me and gave me a huge hug and after chatting said she can't believe the difference in me since she last saw me in August. I said it's down to Tibolone and I thanked her for initially sowing the seed
Anyhow, I asked her for ovestin, she'd never heard of it so I told her to look it up, and she's so excited I've taught her something and she knows of so many patients at our clinic who'll benefit. She said I'm probably the first to have been prescribed testosterone there too so I'm feeling quite chuffed right now that I may have contributed to the gps to change their mindset on the available options for meno women. She has booked me in for Thursday so we can chat more about the positive effects of Tibolone and my reports on Testim and Tostran and to weigh me and do BP
So I've rushed home and smeared some ovestin over me in a bid to sort this external VA out
She just kept saying my persistence (in a good way) to feel better is commendable x
