Megamind bet your kids love your food if you ask them. Some of the quickest things are the most delicious!! I was out to dinner one night last week and had some griddled squid. It had been marinaded in olive oil, lemon, parsley and chilli and than flash griddled for less than a minute and it was to die for. So simple so quick!
CLKD I honestly can't imagine living with a man who can cook. My hubby has had to on a couple of occasions but tends to not be able to coordinate the timings so the fish is ready, the potatoes are still hard and he hasn't yet prepared the veggies. The end result? Not so good! Also really meagre quantities - really weird!
nearly50 I love to cook but will cheat sometimes when alone and opt for M and S. I know what you mean by no incentive but I regularly batch cook when hubby is away, then eat a portion and freeze the rest. In fact I've always done that with anything but fish: I cook double the quantities and freeze the excess. It's great to be able to pull from the freezer when you haven't got time to prepare from scratch especially with long slow cooked dishes, like casseroles and Bolognese etc which may be cooking for 4-5 hours.
