Had my old Mirena removed in November, planning to have a new one inserted as this along with Oestrogen patches seemed to be suiting me well, my worst symptom having been pervasive nausea. Removal was so painful, I decided to try a combined patch instead. Since then, sleep deprived, night sweats, joint pain and even nausea are back. On the advice given here, I gritted my teeth and went back to GP for another Mirena. Unfortunately she said she said that she get it to fit through my cervix ( due to stenosis ) and referred me to the Family Planning clinic as they have stirrups, retractors and anaesthetic
. I went there last week and the doctor seemed less than enthusiastic or confident that she could do it although said she would give it a go. Frankly, I'm think I'm too scared to have one now so was wondering if anyone had any other ideas about how to get me life back.
