Went back to my GP Friday with lots of information from this wonderful website, and she told me to stop reading such rubbish gave me a prescription for ellest duet 1 mg and told me there's not much else she can do for me, I left in tears.I have given each HRT 6 months to work. Please help is it time to go private?im 44 have no social life just too tired
I had trouble a few years ago, getting my GP's to give me evorel patches and utrogestan.
I tried femoston, went straight through me due to perimenopause based IBS, problem went along with flushes as soon as I got on right patch.
GP was reluctant to give me patches as I was getting migraine auras (due to an antidepressant I have now weaned off, no more migraine auras since )
For a small fee, it was £25 back then in 2014, you can email Dr Heather Currie.
Dr Currie emailed me back, saying patches were fine for me.
I had a job getting any of the GP's to read it but one nice GP read it, I explained it was from an NHS consultant gynaecologist at Royal Dumfries and Galloway hosp, and I got my wishes in the end, so, if you don't mind paying a fee and speaking to Dr Currie, that's what helped me.
