I couldn't get on with some ADs .... what kinds of side effects, for me it was nausea  :-X.  They should ease after 8-10 days if you can hang on for that length of time.

Anxiety is caused by the fight/flight response which goes back to the Cave Age! when we had to flee in order not to get eaten by a bear  ::).  For me it's physical i.e. sudden nausea, thighs go weak followed by calves then I'm in a real panic  :'(

Hi, Pauline! SSRI's are a bit known for temporarily raising anxiety on start up - some are gentler than others, and a lot of it can be down to an individual's response. My doctor often uses Diazepam on a very short prescription at a low dose as a 'bridge' to help lessen the initial side effects. If you're finding it particularly tough going, it's well worth calling in if you can and speaking to your GP to see if they can prescribe this for you. xxxxx

Anxiety is worse especially in the morning ! Palpitations and foggy head dizziness. I have diazepam so I might take one if it gets any worse (5mg) which is a small dose . Thanks for the advise ladies . I find eating more frequently helps  :) :) :)x
