Hi all,

I started taking 5HTP for migraine relief, nearly two weeks ago and 5 days after I took the first tablets, my period started. It didn't really get started and tailed off in 2 days, however after thinking it was finished, it came back with a vengeance on Wednesday afternoon (really heavy and clotty - TMI - sorry).

So now I'm on day 8 and it's fluctuating between light and heavy which is unusual for me as my body has hardly produced any periods this year as I've not been taking my progesterone properly, due to PMS symptoms.

Could it be the 5HTP which has stirred up my own progesterone? Any other ladies found this to be the case? Of course it could just be a coincidence.
