Such a shame you can't take betablockers as I have found that 3 X 10mg a day has helped my anxiety and the adrenaline rushes no end. Once I stopped getting them, it has been easier to cope with the odd bit of anxiety as I feel more control of it than it in control of me.
My urticaria plays up now and then but I haven't had to take my certrizine for it which is good as it never seemed to do much but make me feel out of it.

I know, Coldethyl! Annie and I are something of an anomaly......... :o BB's would have been ideal for us! I'm trying to get off my high dose of Cetirizine at the moment - I definitely feel more awake, but sometimes this might not be a good thing! It's a pretty weird drug in high doses too - damn allergies!!! Is there any sign that your urticaria has calmed since your oopherectomy? Mine has calmed down a lot, but it can vary I know. Annie still has much of her allergy stuff going on, as well as dermatographia. Hopefully for you over time it'll settle. xxxxx

Aw that's nice Coldethyl that they worked for you

My heart sank this evening finding out I can't have them, I just thought I couldn't because I've developed asthma

I put my pjs on when I got in from work and developed scratch like raises on my shoulders , it's a nightmare getting ready for a night out. I'm marked everywhere getting dressed !

IT has improved a lot. Though I'm not exercising which was a contributing factor in mine. You could set clock by it after going on exercise bike. The chemo day it is bad but then it settles back down and touching wood, I've not had the stinging lips for ages nor the ear pain. I had wax removed, steroid drops, antibiotics and terrible tinnitus and eventually a locum GP suggested it was associated with my urticaria as inner ear was all itchy and swollen whenever ingot rash elsewhere. I don't like antihistamines much. They give you Piriton as part of chemo and I just space out which freaks me out and can set anxiety off.
It really is a shame about the BBs - I know they aren't popular amongst all women on here but they do have a place as even with HRT , you can still experience palpitations and adrenaline surges. Xx

Hi ladies.

Just checking in to reassure you that things will settle and get so much better for you. I'm into my 4th pack now and all of my symptoms have completely disappeared!😀I wish I'd started taking Tibolone a few years ago! My anxiety during Peri was off the scale and I tried numerous antidepressants, none of which ever really solved the problem!

During the first 8 weeks I couldn't tolerate alcohol at all but it is so much better now and I'm able to tolerate a few glasses of wine with no effects!!😃

So hang on in there ladies, I promise you it will get better! !xx

Hello ladies.

I've just collected my prescription of Tibolone so I will be officially joining your tribe today! I plan to take my first tablet at bedtime because even I can't worry about side effects while I am asleep!

I've had a rough time of late and my previous patch HRT wasn't helping so I hope this works. I'll keep you all updated on this fabulous forum.

Take care ladies.

Oh, thank you so much Jules! I really needed to hear this right now. I'm on day 39 and at times it's a bit of a rollercoaster. Random symptoms just pop up out of the blue and knock me off guard, if you know what I mean?

Welcome, Kathleen! It's lovely to have you here at last. We're a friendly bunch here as you know, so you're in good company. Hugs!!! xxxx

Well done on getting the Phenergan Annie! Maybe just try half a tablet at home to see how it goes for anxiety relief - and like Suzanne you can take one at night if you can't get any sleep. Hoping it works well for you! xxxxx

Morning Ladies

Hope all you ladies continue to see benefits with Tibolone.

For me as you know it has been a struggle. Tomorrow will be week 9 and side effects have settled (not completely) However mornings are still not good. It feels more like meno symptoms rather than Tib side effects. Although sleep is better from getting up I'm sweating, a few missed heart beats and jittery, all these were symptoms I suffered 8 years ago before HRT.

I will continue my journey.......

Tempest - any improvements?? if not stick with it until 3rd month

Anjia/Abby how are you newbies doing......please pop in with your updates ;)

Annie - how did you find the  Phenergan ?

Will pop in later to read your updates Wxx
