Is anyone else suffering with fluttery heartbeats at the moment? How do you cope with them? I have been having them for the last couple of days, today has been quite bad. I am sure it is hormone related, bit how can you be sure? It is hard not to worry about them. I had my heart checked a couple of years ago when I was have fast heartbeats, but this feels different.

I had terrible palpitations when I entered peri mostly at night, my GP thought they were hormonal but he did send me to cardiologist and got the all clear.
Since starting HRT they have mostly disappeared.

Hello toffeecushion.
In the past I've had lots of palpitations and heart flips etc and still get the fluttering even now. I was monitored as part of a research programme and all was well.
I've said this before but I've never worried about my heart however I always panic when the fluttering effects my stomach and bowels. Perhaps even in meno there's a limit to what you can worry about lol!
Palpitations are mentioned on the (long) list of menopause symptoms and although that is small comfort when you are worried at least you are not alone.
Wishing you well.

I had that early on - horrible feeling. I always suspected it stopped after taking iron supplements as I had low ferritin. I tend to blame that for a lot, but it could just be a coincidence.

This was an early symptom for me 4 years ago and comes and goes, well goes for a short while and stays longer !
I had a 24 HR monitor and then was called to see cardiologist for a scan, it was being mentioned they might do ablation ? I was beside myself but the scan was fine and diagnosed with arrhythmia. The worst part is I can't have beta blockers as I have asthma. Sometimes a sudden deep quick cough can restart the rhythm
