Thank you, Annie! I'm on Estrogel again. Trying to get up to 3 pumps, jittering at that level is crazy though so I'm sticking for a while longer at 2. No possibility of adding the T yet until at least January next year. Hey ho!! And well done on your weight loss, too! I'm thinking you should be able to maintain this as your energy levels should go up as Hurdity says - you'll be outrunning us all, you just wait and see! ;)

Got my fingers and toes crossed for you Annie...right now having a wee bit of my strength back is a relief and encouraging to me that hopefully it can only get better...I don't care if it's 4 or 5 months before I'm back on top form it's just such a relief that it's working...as hurdity said mine is more concentrated so I'm putting less than a pea sized blob on ( how to say this politely) just along the top of my pubic triangle😜😂😂 as I apply 3 pumps of estrogel on my inner thighs and was told not to apply in the same area of estrogen in case it doesn't absorb...to be honest with 3 pumps of gel on my thighs not much room for anything else...can't wait to read more of your journey...good luck xxx

I did my thigh this morning

What has surprised me is how watery the gel is.  Very hard to measure a petis pois/pea amount

I desperately need stamina and strength.  I work all day Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday's I have 8 month granddaughter from 12ish then take her to collect my 2 school grandchildren then have them all til@6ish then Thursdays I'm at my daughters @8am to babysit until lunchtime .  All these days I'm shattered but still shattered on my days off

My daughters stepmother (nasty woman and she deserves my symptoms lol) is/has menopausal even has all 3 overnight ! Doesn't work but seems to be sailing through it plus she's 2 years older, really puts me to shame X

When I asked for testosterone in the late 1980s my GP said that using it would lower my voice.  When I mention that comment here, I get 'shouted' down  :-\ …….

Annie - forget about those that think they are 'sailing' through …….. this is about YOU not what anyone might tell you ;-).  Some people aren't good witnesses ……

CLKD the lowering of voice etc is old fashioned advice (I'm sure) we naturally produce 1/10 of what a man produces therefore if we use 1/10 of what men are prescribed there shouldn't be a problem.  Of course, there can be side effects but from what I've learned these are hair growth on application site and can be some facial growth, this is on correct dose.  X

Abby
This is awful! Especially as you have no ovaries.  I think what swung it for me was that a recent scan showed my ovaries have disappeared (had hysterectomy years ago and blood supply to ovaries was damaged)

Don't give up, take facts/papers to them, I reeled off loads to my GP and she totally listened to what I was saying x

I have tried and my GP I think is sympathetic, but the time this is taking is ridiculous. I have already suffered 5 years of peri menopause symptoms which led to the hysterectomy and ovary removal!
I will push/chase this week.. My gynaecologist I think is saying the same, off licence prescription

why oh why are we forced into this situation?

I have to say I was gobsmacked that a gynae from hospital didn't want to see me but passed the prescription, I think I'm still in shock

This is not fair on you, you're relying on your adrenals to make these hormones and they'll be reduced without the ovaries

If you're not feeling like fighting have you thought about Tibolone ?
It's sad that going private is some women's only option 😢 X

My doc agrees I probably *should* have it..
I dont' know much about Tibilone.. I will research...I prefer to go down the transdermal route...

Thanks so much. I'll keep you posted..

Abby I would've tried Tibolone myself but a potential side effect is hair loss, and since being post meno my hair has thinned dramatically so I couldn't/wouldn't risk it.  I'll be watching very carefully how T affects me

Lots of women say they had increased energy, libido and wellbeing in Tibolone

Your GP can prescribe testosterone , they just need to read up on it, they have the power to decide x

That's not for me then as have already lost 80% of my hair, drastic thinning after ovary removal too.. my go said she had to ask the gynaecologist at hospital (who is not an HRT specialist) - and therr has been no further movement.. yes she can prescribe, off licence and mo it or as we all know.. she's fairly up for anything I've asked for so far, so I'm sure she will.. fingers xd.. feeling ok but yes tired and a bit down and hair plus the 10lb plus weight gain yes!

I'd love to just be me again.. thanks for all the advice
