Thanks DG,
I actually felt great on what I was on before.  Over the years,  after having my first ovary was removed,  I tried various combined hrt and the doses were all too high - gave me horrendous side effects.  So,  I think I suit a low dose.
My consultant seems against me having progesterone as tablet form,  that's why I was thinking of the Femseven Conti.
There seem to be so many combinations,  it's very confusing!

You could try Femseven conti but start off with half a patch for a while and see if it suits you and then gradually increase by cutting less off, until you are using a whole patch.

The extent to which oestrogen is protective against osteoporosis is dose-dependent, and although even very low doses of oestrogen confer some protection, the more you have the more protection you get through preventing bone loss and actually building bone. 50 mcg is the dose licensed for osteoporosis prevention so I would aim to try to get to this amount if you can - by starting low as I suggested and then increasing.

I can't see on this thread now I've started to reply, how old you are, but I see Dancinggirl's comment that you are young so if you are under 51/52 - definitely think about going to 50 mcg eventually - whatever you were on before.

Oh, and I had a DEXA scan on Monday, so he should have the results when I see him in December.  Although, this is the first one I've had so I have nothing to compare it to, but at least it will give me a starting point.

You are very young! So yes do go back on HRT - and try to achieve that 50 mcg dose eventually if you can. Good that you had the DEXA scan too - keep us posted on that one.

Well, I saw my consultant today. Had a scan to measure my uterus to see if I could have another Mirena but it has shrunk so that's a no no.

He has prescribed me Evorel 50 conti patches which I hope to start as soon as the chemist gets them in.

I'm disappointed, as the Mirena & Evorel 25 patch I was on before, gave me normality & I felt great. But, in the short time I've been off
Hrt I have found the flushes (day & night) difficult to deal with as well as other symptoms causing problems. So, I will see how it goes. Have to see him in 3 months.

So sorry you can't return to the regime you were settled on Jellyb! I've also had an oopherectomy and I have to say that I cant do massive doses of estrogen I am finding. I'm just on the Estradot 50 and finding this a wee bit too much at the moment, but the ladies over at Hystersisters assured me that it's possible to present with symptoms of excess initially and that it can settle.

I hope your patches arrive soon and you can get started so that you feel a bit better!
