Progesterone and oestrogen antagonise each other so the progesterone may have lowered the oestrogen. Sometimes different symptoms are experienced depending on how extreme the fall in hormones is, so a rapid plummet might cause itching (I know I get this on certain days when there is a big fall/change) but more ongoing imbalance might cause the antisocial feelings.

It is hard to know for sure as other hormones will come into play at certain points (adrenaline, cortisol, thyroxine, serotonin etc.), so it's about tweaking to the point you can cope with the level of symptoms.
