Strange Feeling
« on: May 21, 2016, 01:01:19 PM »

I thought I was getting away with things easy lately, just strange periods but now this.

I wonder if anyone else has felt like this -

It's not really giddy, more off balance.  It feels as though my head is still moving when I stop.  If I bend over or move my head it is as though my head is one step behind me.  It's really hard to describe, hoping someone will recognize it and reassure me that it is par for the course.

It sounds a bit like labrynthitis when you bend down is it worse and worse on one side ? Thats how it affects me .but it could also be anxiety related, do you feel anxious? It can make you feel light headed.however Id go for the labrynthitis. You can get sturgeron from pharmacy if you explain your symptoms in sure they will advise

Thank for replying.  Yes it could be that, I've had that before, years ago.  It is making me feel anxious but I don't know what came first the anxiety or the strange feeling lol.  I have got a lot on at the moment, so maybe stress.  Just wish it would go away

Yep.  ALL the while.  Not constantly but there isn't a day goes by when I don't take a step then go 'OH' because my heads 'swum'  ::).  Difficult to explain.  One reason for my swimming is that the neck crushes a small nerve in the neck …….

When I started with this Germ last week, on Sunday I felt heavily drugged all day, Mon/Tues my 'brain' was half a sec behind my head when I moved  >:(

Labrynthitis - wonder if the ancient Greeks got that after they built one for King Minos of Crete?  (Sorry, sorry, sorry............! ::))

Yes Sparkle, I do get headaches.  And thinking about it I do get an off balance feeling with my headaches sometimes.  It feels a bit better this morning, but I feel as if my head is wrapped in cotton wool.  Am hoping it improves as the day goes on.  I was doing so well and thought I was over the worse of peri and now feel back to square one again.

Toffeecushion - I get weird light-headed feelings, and feel slightly off balance sometimes but in my case I think it;s due to low blood pressure - as mine does measure low quite a lot. Could this be the case for you? Are you taking any medication eg beta-blockers etc?

Hi girlies I started having this occasionally 12 months ago but as time went on so my fuzzy head got more and more. I have it almost everyday now and probably get 3 days in the month when I don't.  I'm 49 peri started 3 years ago and not had a period for 4 months. I can cope with everything else but the weird head feelings are awful. I feel for you. Mine seems to wear off around 5 or6 and then my head is clear all evening. I said to my hubby I'm gonna sleep by day lol. I don't know how long this lasts for but I hope it's not much longer. Big hug to you all xxxx

Something new all the time to scare the wits out of me. No wonder I can't relax!!! Hope you feel better soon TC. x

I have those strange feelings as well occasionally, though thankfully it is only very occasionally.

I had labyrinthitis a few years ago, was diabolical for the first few days, had to lie flat and couldn't change position at all without throwing up violently. I have never known anything like it.

The strange feeling is a bit like how I felt when I was on the mend from the labyrinthitis - a bit woozy, off-balance, kind-of-drunk in your body but not in your head. I can still get that feeling a bit now if I am somewhere that over-loads the senses - like a very busy shop (Primark, for example).

I have occasionally had episodes of feeling like this while at my desk at work but it only lasts a few minutes. Horrible feeling  :(.

I just learn to live with it. My doctor has put me on a course of antibiotics to see if I have an infection somewhere but I have been on them for a week and no change in my fuzzy head .it's still everyday. So just have to except it the bloody hormones. I had 2 clear days this week and then back to it. I always wondered why it was referred to the change, now I know why. It changes your whole bloody body. How are you all doing? Xx

Hi Dennylou, I'm still the same.....struggling on, like you, some days worse than others.  I'm just trying to accept all the numerous new strange feelings that keep getting thrown at me otherwise I would be a permanent feature in the Dr's waiting room! I sometimes think I should try and get a job as a Dr's receptionist and then at least I'd be half way there.... ;D x
