Estradot 37.5
« on: June 22, 2016, 05:53:24 PM »

Been on this for a couple of months but get a lot of headaches. I was getting a drop after day 3 so started changing every 3rd day. My question is on the 3rd day when applying the patch I seem to get an estrogen surge with cracking headaches that last at least 24 hours. Thought this would just settle with time. Anyone got experience with the patch?

I am on this patch 50mcg some weeks it seems to work fine others it dont I get a lot of tingling in my face after an hour or so with a new patch I think my gp thinks I imagine this but I no it happens,I tried gel a few weeks back to see how if it was better for me but had bad flushes all day so I continue with the patch and hope for the best.

I get tingling in my neck & head and headache hoping it will subside. Wasn't sure if it was because I was doing it every 3 days but flushes start if I don't 😠

That sounds like a very low dose, have you considered increasing it?  I used to use patches but found them to be very ineffectual and have since changed to Oestrogel which is brilliant.

I've switched the patch to my bottom just to see if any different. I have always gone below waistline on tummy. First day sure there is a difference surely that couldn't have made a huge difference. Have I been applying this wrongly all this time?

Hello donnacrichton.

I have recently switched to the gel and Utrogestan but I'm struggling so may go back to using Evorel 50 mg patch. When using this previously I always put it on my tummy but after a while I had some bleeding. When I moved the patch to my bottom the bleeding stopped immediately, so yes, I believe where you place the patch can make a difference. I don't think you were wrong initially but one lady suggested that the skin cells can become saturated over time so a bit of relocation may help things.

Take care.

K.

After moving patch to bottom flushes gone but tight chest think it is the estrogen increasing. Does this usually wear off?
