Apparently a Guest provided the wedding couple with £100.00 cheque which was cashed.  Once back from honeymoon the couple apparently wrote and told her that it wasn't enough - it didn't value the lovely day they had all shared nor did it value their friendship over the years.  WTF  ………

Pity they had cashed it. I would have stopped the cheque. Ungrateful b-----s

Comments on the web are interesting someone even wondering if it's a hoax 

They cashed it then complained!  Someone suggested that it was because she had supposedly fallen onto an inheritance.  Another commented that they would have told them that there was more to come but the £10,000 has now been given to Charity

Words actually fail me! I had an aunt who had very little but when hubby & I got married she bought duplicate of an ornament she owned, which I liked. It was a retro looking giraffe ornament. I wasn't expecting anything. That gift meant more than money we got from another relative who said we wouldn't have got it if they'd known they wouldn't get an invite!

Maybe it was a hoax! or more to the story - but if it wasn't & there isn't -then what an ungrateful and greedy pair... A £100 to some people is still a considerable amount of money..

The trouble is that these days couples spend such obscene amounts of money on a wedding that they expect expensive gifts to compensate.  Well more fool them.

Marriage is important, not weddings.
