Recurring oral thrush.
« on: May 03, 2016, 04:16:44 PM »

I've had oral thrush now on & off for weeks.
It's come back again despite using antifungals from the doctors.
I feel absolutely awful at the moment, tired, listless, low mood, heart palps, breast pain, feeling like I'm constantly in a fog.
I have an appointment at the Drs to discuss my mirena which is due for renewal, but not until the 24th.
Felt so bad today I called in to see if I could see a Dr today and was told no appointments, ring at 8 in the morning which I will do.
I'm so fed up with how I'm feeling,so sorry if I've gone on a bit,but just had to get it off my chest.
I just want to get back to my old self.

Speak with a Pharmacist?  Have you changed the type of paste you use? or foodstuffs?

When I needed to see the GP I would sit in the Waiting Room until he made time for me  ;)

Called in to GP surgery this morning and no appointments ::)
Receptionist went to have a word with the doctor and she came back with a prescription for the thrush.
When I looked at it it was the one I had to stop using before because it made me itch.
Told them he couldn't have looked on my records so off she goes again, comes back and says," Go to the walk in centre"
I just didn't know what to say........... :-X I just left feeling more anxious than when I went in.
OH said to go back tomorrow to get proper prescription but to be honest I don't want to go back.
I feel bad enough as it is without them adding to it.
I've decided to go & buy some Daktarin gel that I had before as you can buy it over the counter and then wait for my appointment on 24th. I'll have 3 wks then to see if the thrush goes and if it hasn't I will tell the GP along with all my other symptoms.
I have a long list ;D
