Hello, just an update after my check in with my GP today.

I have stopped the propranolol and am doing ok without it.  I am stabilising on the 5mg E-Cit and the side effects are almost gone. I am sleeping better most nights and my hot flushes are less bothersome.  He says I can stay on it long term and agreed to me staying on the brand I have got used to.  He also told me that E-Cit can cause indigestion which I have noticed from time to time, so that means I am no longer obsessing about stomach ulcers  ::) .  I am glad I stuck with it.  I told him it is fast becoming my new best friend.
I realise there could be blips but hopefully I won't be phoning him up squawking that it is all going wrong.  I like how I feel at the moment.

Please take heart if you are struggling with AD treatment.  It is 6 months since I was first prescribed them and I have been very up and down and all over the place.  Thanks to support from members here and my GP, and finding a therapist I can work with, things are looking up, there is light showing at the end of the tunnel and I will persevere until I reach the light and come out of the tunnel.

My very best wishes to everyone.

Jane

Glad you're feeling on right track. I think a little bit of success breeds success and we feel more able to cope. Well done at sticking it out and for being prepared to work at all sides of the problem. Therapy is hard work but so beneficial x
