Yes it is good to know there are others wondering the same thing. Perhaps as we muddle our way along someone will come up with a solution to this progesterone dilemma. We can only dream I suppose.
I seriously have my doubts I will be able to decrease my estrogen enough to be able to decrease my prog as well, but I can but try. My next experiment (when I summon the energy to conduct yet another experiment) is to try to find a middle ground between a continuous dose of prog and having a cycle. I would like to try taking the prog for 21 days of the month and then see over a few months what kind of bleed I get. Maybe the extra prog will oppose the estrogen build up a bit more, but I will be giving myself enough of a break from it every month that I won't get any build up of symptoms. Maybe I'm also living in La La Land, and it will make no difference.
Frankly though if I get to my mid-late 70s and I'm still having periods I think I will just stop taking the prog anyway, and let whatever is going to happen, happen. I'm not going to live forever anyway. Of course then I might just have to deal with break through bleeding anyway..... sigh.....
