Can I ask all you ladies that have survived the menopause and come out the other end - how long where your periods were messed up for?  Mine have been getting further apart but I am bleeding for 3 to 4 weeks at a time and very heavy at times.  I keep hoping it will stop soon but this has been going on for 2 years now.

I was lucky.  Mine got further and further apart, then I had a break of several months B4 they re-started; for a couple of years then suddenly, I realised that they had stopped.  The flow was 'as normal' for me ………. fortunately.
