Fanny Burns, the unwelcome visitor
« on: February 28, 2016, 10:35:40 AM »

I think a lot of us have met her haven't we? She isn't very polite is she?

She turns up on the doorstep unannounced and outstays her welcome.  ??? Sometimes she interferes with what we have planned to do and makes a nuisance of herself just to get attention.  :na:

She doesn't take the hint and often doesn't even respond to a direct request to leave.  :kick: Sometimes she even settles in and stays for several nights and you just can't get rid of her.  :poke2:

Just when you think she has taken the hint there will be a knock at the door and there she is again.  :sigh:

Poor you babyjane. You did make me smile though.  I've been ever so lucky so far, not needed anything, but I'm sure my time will come.  I've actually bought some stuff just in case it strikes unexpectedly & makes a nuisance of herself.  ;)

Ummmm the most unwelcome of all guests 😖😖😖, what's your ammunition ?

Vagifem, oestriol cream, sudocrem, vaseline and natural probiotic yogurt (but not all at once!).  I know one member who uses ice pops  ::)

I have noticed that it is worse if I have a lot of sugary foods, or spicy food, or alcohol.  I think anything that is excreted in the urine has the potential to irritate the dry, sore tissues.

me too, what an eye opener  ::)

My husband was counselling our son yesterday as he doesn't understand his girlfriend on her period. Husband's remark was make the most of it, wait till she gets to the menopause!

Cubagirl, the 'poor lad' is 33 years old and the father of a 12 year old girl.  He needs to get his act together before she starts hers  ::)

I think hubby is the 'poor lad' as he has to cope with me on a daily basis  :)

because he has to have the last word every time and cannot  :-X

The only woman who can handle him is his daughter.

My husband used to adopt the 'yes dear' approach and it made matters 10 times worse, I found it so patronising.  Nowadays he stays well clear if I am having one of 'those' days  >:(
