I am new to Forum and just had a full hysterectomy at 49. Having suffered with depression since aged 24 which arrived in the form of debilitating anxiety attacks very scary at the time as I didnt know what they were. Having been on and off antidepressants over the last 25 years it was finally agreed that I needed to be on a low dose 10mgs of Citalopram for ever to maintain an equilibrium.
I was today put on Evorel 50 HRT which I am hoping will stop or lessen my flushes and insomnia.
Weirdly since starting menopause 18 months ago anxiety had not been an issue.
So I would mist definitely keep yourself on your medication as I'm sure thats why the only menopausal effect I havent had is anxiety.
