Newish to hrt and newish to the forum
« on: November 10, 2015, 11:34:19 PM »

Hello, I've been reading lots of posts and have been sufficiently motivated to go and see my GP and ask for help. He has given me Elleste duet Conti to try. I have had awful symptoms for some time now not least constant hot flushes and what I call funny turns everywhere I go.

I have already got a strange taste in my mouth from taking it.  Hoping that will wear off.   Just hoping its worth taking and it works.  Any help with this would be very gratefully appreciated.  What have been your experiences with this drug?

Thanks to everyone on here who write such helpful posts!  I'm 52 and have an 11 year old daughter.  Just want my life back  :-\

Best wishes

Hi jazzcj

Sorry I can't help with experiences of Elleste Duet conti but I'm sure there will be someone along who might be able to share their views of it! I presume you are post-menopausal ie without a period for 12 months for you to have been given this preparation? You may have some spotting to start with but eventually all bleeding should stop as it is a no-bleed HRT for post-meno women. How long have you been taking it? Some side effects are expected with any HRT type but hopefully these will settle and you will feel much better soon  :)
