can i have your opinions please
« on: October 13, 2015, 06:27:57 AM »

Morning. I'm extremely new to this as most of you know. My last period came 22nd Aug and my cycle has always been about 24days. Going on that I should be due another this week but as I didn't have one in September it's hard to say. However, last night and this morning my fingers in my left hand cramped and my hips and base of back and stomach cramp ever so slightly. Could this be linked? Never had hip cramp before though.

Hi Mandypepe my periods started becoming irregular this year and to be honest they haven't really stayed in a reliable pattern.  I used to be regular at about the 24day mark as well.  In the last six months they have ranged from 21, 25, 28, and 35 ish.  I can relate to the slight cramping, but not really like I used to get, similar to what you experience, a stiffness and slight pain in my hips and back, slight dragging feeling in pelvis and usually this has resulted in a period, saying that, I am just spotting with it right now - periods seem to take a bit of time to get going these days.

So, in other words, I think you can safely say your hormones are up and down and these indicators of aches etc reflect this.  It could be your levels are dropping before a period/bleed.

Thank you. A quick reply as I'm rushing straight back out. For the first time ever today I've had a clearish pinkish discharge - a bit gloopy (yak) when I've been to the loo. All cramps apart from very slight stomach cramps gone now and theyre hardly there.  Something is deffo happening that is not my norm.

I have had similar Mandypepe and it wasn't normal for me, you may find a period starts but it might be slow - it was explained to me that the hormones are not working in sync all of the time, so the timing goes off and also levels decline so the 'quality' of the blood is different. More watery, brighter red, pink - if you start to get worried, do talk to your GP, but all this sounds familiar.
