When several people of various ages began dying around us about 5 years ago we decided to dip into our Pension/s and buy the camper  ;)

We owned two holiday places on one of the smallest Scottish islands for a good few years. Rarely used them ourselves but rented them out. I got fed up with the change over days and it became really hard work so we sold up and then bought another one in our home town and rented that out. Decided we did not like being landlords....too much hard work so sold that too.

Guess I'm quite lucky.. I stay in a lovely place with wonderful sea views and it is everything I could ever want.
I have stayed in the surrounding area all of my life and I would not swap it for a gold clock   ;D

I will never move from this area....it's where my heart lies and I just love it. I step out of my door and can smell the sea. I walk two minutes and I'm on the shore. The hills are behind....perfect for me.....oh and hubby likes it too  ;D

We stayed in a lovely bungalow 10 years ago  ;)  8) "Kilimanjaro" - along a track from Dornie and Eilen Donan Castle.  Opposite a Loch.  Within easy drive of both Plockton and the Isle of Skye  - ideal for us and oh so tempting to buy in the area  ;)

Hello - I've always wanted a house with a sea view but that =£££££.  We do have savings but not enough to fulfil my dream without using all our savings plus some more.   Trouble is then as our life is a bit on hold at the moment,  I'm finding OH is increasingly wasting money - maybe another thread don't want to hijack this one!

We have the Choir, Charabanc, Dentist etc.; we can all have our own gardens, front doors, peace and quiet  ;) with a sea view and continual warm sunshine ……..

Sounds fab Dazned - go for it.  Our potential move south-west (see my 'glimmer of light' thread in Private Lives) moved one step nearer yesterday - all exciting stuff  :)
