We owned two holiday places on one of the smallest Scottish islands for a good few years. Rarely used them ourselves but rented them out. I got fed up with the change over days and it became really hard work so we sold up and then bought another one in our home town and rented that out. Decided we did not like being landlords....too much hard work so sold that too.
Guess I'm quite lucky.. I stay in a lovely place with wonderful sea views and it is everything I could ever want.
I have stayed in the surrounding area all of my life and I would not swap it for a gold clock
I will never move from this area....it's where my heart lies and I just love it. I step out of my door and can smell the sea. I walk two minutes and I'm on the shore. The hills are behind....perfect for me.....oh and hubby likes it too
