Did a reload of Vagifem last October and tickety boo
Went through all the stress of flying home from Ozz Dec 30th Dad died 2nd Jan
Hads to deal with so much bills debts no insurance it cost us a fortune
Got back 29th Jan and on 4th April we did our prebbooked and paid for trip 40th ann
Came back to UK but not home spent a few days down south  then Rome Venice Paris
Got back 2nd May now through all this my fanny was fine 10000000%
Mid May BACK sore on the outside by the opening sore scratchy feeling and pressure
Ache as if I been sitting all the time on the opening I do find if I sit on comp like now
It does ache more but its almost daily now no pain just this soreness outside
Sex is no problem at all wet as anything inside (still on 25m in Ozz x 2) its outside
My bits have gone smaller@smaller especially the left side of inner labia is all but gone
Right sides shrunk too but is about 2/3 longer thin but defo 100% bigger
Ive been on Vagi now since Feb 2010 done 2 relaods in that time Oct 2 and Oct 14
Bobbles recons its aLL THE Stress Ive been under and the fact I cant mourn IM angry
Angry he left me $1.000s of dollars to outlay we ended up as creditors gettiing $5.000
We outlaid $15.000 good job we could get hold of the money re re draw on house
My Aunty died My best pals leaving moving 2hrs away by train I dont drive
Bobbles is tired I can see it I get scared I made him have a check up
Hes also had erectile crap he was fine till January? Hes a real man he needed no telling
He went off to GP and was given Viagra so proud of him ladies so hes been affected
Hes 62 like me and since Xmas hes aged as have I and I hate my Dad for doing this
BUT my fanny TAZ CLKD is this normal? Im not seeing anymore Doctors Had enough
My GP has  semi retired and is coming in specially in Jan to give me my Pap smear
My cousins coming in Oct 6th for a month thats going to be a strain I not looking forward to it overmuch I love her dearly but shes so high maintenace and ts going t cost such a lot 4 weeks food the lot I dont begrudge it but wish it was now help please

Hi Suzi - what a lot you've been going through and coping really well by the sounds of it! 

As for the soreness. I found that the further into meno I went then the more I needed full HRT as Vagifem just wasn't enough to cope. I know that you don't want to do this, or maybe have been advised not to - can't remember, but for me it was the only way. When I was off HRT my soreness became really noticeable and even going back onto Vagifem didn't help. I was really sore on the outside like you describe. I did have problems sitting for long but I think this was due to my prolapse putting pressure where it shouldn't - not pain but uncomfy. I also didn't have a problem with dryness - just soreness. Is there any way you could go onto a low dose HRT?

As for your bits shrinking. This is totally normal as we age and HRT wont (in my experience) stop this happening. Sad but true.

Taz Im 62 know way now any one would give me HRT after being post meno for 19 yrs
After the extra one i put in last night no sore opening today Coincidence not a chance
We get to knw our own bodies and my bits were screaming HORMONES
I know they vanish but its odd one sides so shrunk not even 1/3 of an inch in depth
The other ones 3/4 in depth IF Id have know what would happen not taking HRT@37
I would have risked it gone against all the advice I was given my entire life for almost
8 years has been my fanny I had almost 2 good years with Vagi before a reload in 12
Another reload in 14 had blips along the ways each time but just odd day or 2
None in tonight tomorrows my normal day to use Vagi at night
But with no Vagi in tonight I will see how I go tomorrow morning and daytime

As well as Vagifem could you not ask for an oestrogen cream to rub in the outer parts. The Vagifem is doing its job internally but something for the outer bits might help a lot.

Hey Suzi you can't give up. You've kept loads of us going with VA - attagirl!
Here's a few thoughts:
You could email Dr Currie for advice? She'd be able to tell you if full HRT would be an option for you even after so long in meno. That puts off going to see a doc for a bit if you don't want to.
Your last reload was nine months ago. You could try doing that again? Or you could try ESTRING which gives you a constant dose of oestrogen (same as yours over a week, 50mcg)
And - yes, cream for the outside might be good. Ovestin or Gynest is what they're called here.
Might you have a prolapse which is causing you soreness at the back? Thrush? Some other non-VA thing?
Stress never helps.
And I really would try and get some expert advice.
I sit on a neck support cushion - looks like a horseshoe - might be worth getting one to take the pressure off yer bits.

Also sitting 'correctly' on the loo to open the bowels can make a difference, with feet up a little so that the pelvis is tipped backwards?

Took an extra Vagifem Tuesday night my nights are sun and thur
Wed 100% Thur 95% one in last night Thur today 95% it is 100% hormonal
I dont want o do a reload so soon but might have to if I can hang on till late September then I will
No GP in Ozz would give out HRT to a 62 yr old with no periods for 20 years this month 24/Aug1995

I have Ovestrin for outer bits I asked GP before last relaod I used it once outside and it BURNT
Yet Id used it for over 10 yrs 1998 till 2008 inside and out?

Maybe still consider emailing Dr C - she might have some ideas of other things you could try, or reassure you that an early reload is OK? Another forum member swears by some stuff called multi gyn actigel which sorts out your PH levels to avoid thrush and BV - I've found that very helpful. Dunno if you can get it in Oz - it might have a different name. Take care Suzi.
