As for being self employed: working from home, most Mortgate lenders like to know as will the Insurance Company for a car used to transport work-related stuff.  Incidentally, we saw a vehicle yesterday with a printed label saying 'this vehicle is only to be used for work purposes'.  Also, when workers leave some Industries they are not 'allowed' to work in the same type of employment for 3-6 months to protect intellectual property.

I was self employed and employed as a secretary in the same type of work.  Suited me at that particular time.
