I was asked privately where I can find vitamin B3 as niacinamide for alleviating anxiety symptoms.
Because this topic may interest many people, I will post a link on niacinamide being helpful for anxiety: orthomolecular.org/library/jom/2004/pdf/2004-v19n02-p104.pdf
I am normally using capsules of 500mg niacinamide that I buy either from Amazon or from my local health shop. Some pharmacies may also stock Solgar 550mg niacinamide (also known as nicotinamide). To alleviate anxiety someone may try the 250 mg niacinamide pill available at Holland and Barrett. If one pill is not enough, double the dose (500mg in one go). Niacinamide is not toxic even in large dosage of 3-4 grams that Dr Abram Hoffer was routinely giving to his patients (read Niacin , the true story)
B3 is also found as niacin (nicotinic acid) but large doses give a flush that people may take for side effect or intolerance. It is just a temporary vasodilatation which is not harmful but many people cannot tolerate it. Niacin has also a calming effect (at least on me) but I stick to niacinamide if only the anti-anxiety effect is sought.
