Personal itching
« on: April 23, 2017, 04:58:13 PM »

Hello everyone, hope you are all coping. Seem to have almost cleared up my vaginal itching with the use of vagisan cream (highly recommend it)and my atrophy would appear to have subsided. Does anyone have itching at the rear end? I was treated for thrush there with hydrocortisone canisten cream. I don't have it every day but sitting aggravates it.  It's sore in that area so I am lathering it in an antiseptic cream called conotrane. Guess it's another menopausal symptom. Wondering if anyone else has experienced it.  Replies appreciated.

Hi, is there a possibility you might have piles, or even just one pile.  they can be itchy little blighters but can also be sore and if they are inside you might not be aware it is there.

Thanks BabyJane for reply. When I was checked at the Doctors they seemed to think it was thrush. May treat it again with my Canesten Hydrocortisone cream. Didn't seem to think it was piles. Finding ice very soothing. Fortunately, it isn't there all the time. Have just been away for a fortnight and didn't suffer. Now back home sitting on a wooden chair in my study and that aggravated it. Have been and purchased a more comfortable chair. Hopefully cream will get rid of it. Thanks again.

Hi there

I know this may seem strange but maybe get your gallbladder checked out if it continues and it's not thrush. Around a month or so before my gallbladder problems kicked off I developed a very itchy behind and it continued all the time until I had the blighter out, once it was gone the itchiness went! During this time I did read somewhere it can be a symptom. Yours maybe totally unrelated but if it persists maybe worth bringing up with your doc.

Or it maybe sitting and getting a bit warm in that area which is leading to the uncomfortableness? We shouldn't sit for too long, we can develop sores which can get quite nasty if left untreated, mainly happens to guys but I've heard of it twice now of guys who sit at computers all day.

Hope it clears soon and you get some relief.

Candida [thrush] lives in the back passage so good toilet hygiene is essential, not many GPs tell patients that!

I've had similar if my VA isn't being well controlled - a dab of Ovestin a little further back in the perineum helped!
