Hi,
I started Femoston Conti one month ago. I'm 56 in a couple of months and haven't had a bleed for over a year (had one then that was investigated because it was a year since the previous one. All was found to be well). I was fine on the FC (other than some modest breast discomfort) until about 5 days ago when I started to bleed. Its at about the level of a light period, but I also have cramps, feel generally lousy, brain fog, tense, slightly nuts 😧

I am aware that this can happen in the first few months of taking it and may settle. I was on Femoston 2/10 up to a couple of years ago when I came off HRT. I didn't have much of an adustment to that at all and just felt well on it.

The thing is, its easy to find similar tales of woe from those on FC and there are also accounts from those who have always got on with it a treat, but I can't find any accounts from women who suffered these 'adjustment effects' who later found they settled down and were happy on it. It would be a real comfort to know that it can get better and I won't just put up with this horribleness for months and then inevitably find I have to make a change anyway.

Hi , I know how awful it is feeling like that. I can't offer you any reassurance regarding this as I don't know either except , there are ladies that have stayed on the sequi form after 55 yrs , so if the worst came to the worst you could go back to femoten 2/10.

I am sure someone will be along soon to advise you

Hi and welcome to Priya2
The bleeding should settle down after a few weeks or so. However, there is no reason why you can't go back to using the Femoston 2/10 as many of us continue with a sequi HRT well into post meno - it that worked well before, it will work well again. I'd persevere with the conti for a while and see how you feel and then go back to the sequi if need be.  Many women choose to move to the conti Femoston as they feel so good on the progesterone part of this HRT when taking the sequi version. Keep us posted. Dg x

Thank you both. Its reassuring to know the Femoston 2/10 (or even 1/10 I suppose) would still be an option. At least I'd know when to expect the bleed.
