Feeling so much better!

I restarted taking HRT (Femiston very low dose 0.5/2.5) two weeks ago after a break of 6 months and the change in how I feel is amazing!
In a nutshell, I started HRT just over 7 years ago at the age of 49 and then last October was advised by one gynae to come off it because of the risks etc - of which I am fully aware. I had some bleeding problems which were investigated and thankfully everything was fine - it was related to the HRT rather than anything else. In the past I've been on Evorel Conti, FemSeven, Femiston 1/5 and Tibolone but I think Femiston suits me the best. During the 6 months that I was off HRT from Oct-April I felt terrible. The flushes/hot sweats I could just about cope with but the anxiety was too awful especially during the night. My GP (male) is thankfully very sympathetic and had no problem with restarting me on HRT. I'm still getting the odd flush which is fine but the main thing is I'm sleeping at night!  :)
I'm sure there are lots of others in the same boat on the forum. Of course I worry about the long term risks and plan to try and come off again in about a year's time and see how it goes then but for the time being I'm pleased to say that I feel human again!

If you read through the various threads, the risks of HRT/cancer are from old research.  So if your HRT eases symptoms, I would say get on with Life  ;) - something else [the preverbal bus] might get you first ….

Thanks CLKD! It's amazing the difference that such a small amount of Oestrogen and Progesterone can make  :)
