Hi there,
Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm at the very beginning of this process. I've been noticing changes in my cycle for a while now, and have found a brilliant GP, who didn't immediately dismiss me as too young - I'm 42.
I have 3 kids & a husband. My daughters are aged 12 & almost 10. My son is 5. Really hoping I'll be able to find help and support here, as I go further along in the process.

changes can be scary, even when we want them

You have a supportive GP - well done.
Have a browse round we're a friendly bunch. Ask any questions you think of. We have a 'funny' room too
Keeping a mood/food diary can be useful too!

Hello
The very first peri menopause symptom I noticed was a change in my cycle (it went from a clockwork 28 days to a slightly erratic 25 days).
I was 42 too. 2 female GPs dismissed me as too young for peri menopause. Thank God the third male GP was better informed.
This place is great. There's always someone who can answer a question.
