esteriol cream..
« on: April 19, 2015, 07:49:45 AM »

Hi, after a recent very bad flare up, not sure why it happened.. i have change to esteriol cream.. replacement for gynest...  im sure the doc said every day for two weeks, then twice a week. but im not sure now, does this sound right.. i have checked on the box and directions are use very day then twice  a week, no mention of period of time for the first every day load up..  when i first insert it, it feels ok, but the longer it sits there, as it doesnt seem to run out very fast, it seems to glow or aches, or burns, till it runs out, but only where im at my sorest which is right at the top.. i guess this will eventually stop , or maybe i should check up with the doc, its a bit uncomfy when i walk.  i guess maybe it will settle down... if any of your ladies could tell me if its 7 or  14 day reload i would be grateful. thank you..

When I used Gynest cream it was every day for 2 weeks, then twice a day following that. I was also told to insert it at night.

Yes as Limpy says. 14 day re-load (every day) Would never put it Gynest or cream in during the day - only at night as Limpy says.

Such a pity that the pessaries have been discontinued as these are much less likely to cause any burning because of the waxy coating - and you sleep through the time when it's all oozing out. Yes these are messy (always have to wear a panty liner) and I imagine the cream is also.

Hi, thank you ladies, i will continue with the every day for two weeks, or every evening, ...  i was previously on vagifem, then due to an acute irritation, swelling and soreness of the vagina , the doc suggested i tried gynest cream. not sure its working, or if the change will sort out what ever the problem was, but can only hope.. but will give it the fortnight and see if i feel better. never experienced this problem before, as usually vagifem sorted me out in two days.. not sure how long gynest should take to settle things..
