update on taking mirtazapine.
« on: March 23, 2015, 09:58:14 AM »

Have now been on mirtazapine 15mg for 13 days, started off feeling really doped for first few days ,very difficult to wake up in mornings and to stay awake! However all the anxiety, panic ,palpitations, nauseous, etc went almost right away! As the days went on tiredness during the day has subsided gradually. Still have no interest or motivation to do anything though have to force myself to do anything and no enjoyment in anything. I understand that at this low dose it is more sedative some I'm going to try slowly increase to 30mg as doctor says I can go to 45 mg but want to keep a happy balance to sleep with .
Back on Saturday to see the gynecologist to tell how I 've been and report about taking the norethisterone now not sure whether to stick on femoston conti1/5 or try his new regime of long cycle ( think I'mrepeating a similar post  :-\ )
I'm much much better than I was 4 weeks ago,it's all got a bit muddled ! Bit I do know I'm not as good as I was say this time last year so there is room for improvement ! Do I settle for second best I.e.settled and functional barely or try for some quality back with the risks of going back too feeling awful ?

What to do,what to do !

Get the holiday over and done with.  13 days is SO EARLY for drugs to kick in, it took 3 months to begin to realise that, actually, I *was* beginning to feel better.  The hung over feeling is so much better than depression  ;)

Little steps.

Packet yet?  ;)

;D - do you have a specific bag for your meds, I do.  It's the 1 bag in green that HAS to be visible  ::)
Chuck it in - yep, I can do that now.  Years and years I made lists and put the clothing etc. onto the spare room in case I panicked and was too ill to pack before we went.  That included the dog's bedding, brush, leads, food ……..

Then relatives needed quick trips to hospital so I learnt to pack quickly and can now do so.  In face I packed so quickly last week that I had doulbe the stuff because I had forgotten I have already a case in the camper: ready  ;D. : and that was for an over-nighter  :D

That's how I dealt with holidays, took the dog, could eat when we wanted, get out of bed when we wanted etc..
