Hi all, after worrying about my bladder scan it turn out normal but he prescribed a tablet for over active bladder, when i mention to him the gp had given  me pessarys to try he shooked his head, now am at a loss should i ask to referred to gyn would they be able too test for  atrophic vaginitis ie if the  walls were getting thinner in that areax

Hi jazzfunkane

Glad to hear your bladder is OK. Is this Vagifem you've been given? Don't know why the urologist would shake his head! Did he say something? You don't need to be referred to a gynae for VA! If you are menopausal and are having vaginal/bladder problems then your tissues will benefit from local oestrogen that you've been prescribed. it may well also help your bladder problem too.

I would just go ahead as your GP recommended but if this GP is sympathetic and understands menopause then perhaps mention what the gynae said on your next visit?
