Definitely sounds like the fluctuating hormones of peri meno and I think an FSH of 70 is rather high so would indicate you are in peri meno.  You are a little young to be in peri meno so I hope your GP is discussing HRT with you?  It could be worth starting on a low dose of HRT to protect your heart and bones from premature oestrogen deficiency.
If you do suffer with PMT or anxiety it may be better to try something like Femoston which has the kinder progesterone in it.

Have not taken the AD's and probably won't especially as a lot of ladies have said that you can feel worse on them before you get better.Didnot have a bad day yesterday,and my head even cleared a little so certainly don't want to make me symptoms worse. A nurse friend of mine explained to me that ladies who are pre-menopause have a FSH level of between 5-11 anything above 15 is classed as peri. I'm not sure how high it gets but a another friend (who is post meno) had a reading of over 100 !!
