Can you cut an evorel patch in half
« on: January 09, 2015, 10:06:25 PM »

Hello ladies

I'm on evorel 75 and utrogestan. I have wasted three patches as I put them on wrong, so had to  discard them.
This means I run out three days at the end of the month, I do have 50mcg patches left and I was wondering, if I could put one and a half 50mcg patches on to make up the three missing 75mcg?

Thank you

Don't see why not. As long as you can get the smaller one to stick properly.

Hi HB

Thanks very much, I will just cut it straight across the centre, so I can stick it in the same way, with the silver 'sticking flaps' for want of a better word, cos if I cut it verticaly, it will be well awkward to stick on.

I used try to ask my doc to prescribe me a few more than needed precisely for the time they were desinged for, so that I wouldn't run out - it's impossible not to lose the odd one or two especially in the summer I find!

Hi Hurdity,

Yeah, I should have asked for more. I could get some more if that bothered, but I think I will just use the 50's that I have.
The evorel are really good stickers though.

Hi Js

Thanks but I'm not cutting down or coming off my hrt.
I am on 75mcg patches  normally but gonna run out so I wanted to know if I could use one and a half 50's as I have some of them spare.
The lovely ladies answered my question. :)

when I started on 75s, I still had some 50s left over and so I used 1 1/2 patches. They stick! (they're quite hard to unstick  ;D)
