There are few threads on this. I recently got it and it did help for a bit then they put me up to 2 a day and I felt it made me feel sicky so back to one no problem. Loads of people take it with no problems at all.

Hello purplenanny.

My husband takes this occasionally and doesn't have any problems with it. Some time ago he was needing to use it everyday and that was okay too.

Only anecdotal, but it made my friend want to eat and eat and eat with the consequence of putting on a lot of weight!

Gives me a very empty tummy feeling but knocks heartburn and reflux on the head very quickly.

Taken it on and off for the last couple of years and no problems at all.  At the moment, luckily, acid reflux is ok so no need to take but Dr did say it's ok to take for a week or so and then stop and take when required if that helps.

Seems to be doing the trick already with (fingers crossed) no side effects

I took 20mg at night for a year when the meno started. Then just stopped. No after effects from stopping.
It does interact with certain drugs, but that's all on the product leaflet or online. Nothing serious don't think.
It worked very well.
It was prescribed off label too by a gynaecologist for irregular heartbeat caused by the vagus nerve/diaphragm area and it worked on that too.

Thanks oldsheep, hubby does take other meds but GP is fully aware and went through it with us. Seems like it is a very useful drug.
