Sounds good everyone!
Never heard of Orlando - what or where is it? Country, town, attraction? Just googled to find it's a city in Florida but not what goes on there?
We're going to SE Spain in April on a (self-guided) walking holiday in some mountains in a natural park - hoping to see lots of spring flowers and interesting birds of prey and other birds.... also to Cornwall camping (in VW) in the summer as we usually do, and a few other shorter VW trips, and a couple of music festivals...well fingers crossed it will all go ahead.....

Do you not take your VW abroad? DH wants to
………. when we go to Bird Fair at Rutland Water there are 100s of holiday companies ….. all enthusiastic and I didn't have panic attacks we would be going all over the place/s
particularly those trips to the Italian Lakes by train …….. however

Hurdity, I am so envious of you with your vw! Is it a splitty or a bay, which colour? We had an orange and cream splitty in the 70's , aah, those were the days! I love them! PN x x

There are loads of firms hire them out on a weekly basis PN so you could revisit your youth.
My holiday booked and deposit payed tonight. Going at the end of June back to the artists village in Dumfries and Galloway. Really looking forward to it.

Hurdity, Orlando is in Florida. Mickey & friends live there. Great place for a holiday with kids, but involves miles & miles of walking. I lost 7 lbs there a few years back, just with walking.

However Honeybun there are restrictions and we found them too rigid. Having to get the 'van back to the company by 11.00 a.m. and not being able to collect until mid-afternoon meant 3 days of the holiday gone
. There is a Company locally who have tarted up 2 VWs for weddings, they look cute driving round all ribboned up!

I agree CLKD. Does not make any sense at all.
Have you made a decision about where you are going and have you told hubby you don't want to go abroad yet.

We're going at the end of July/beginning of August as we have to be back in the UK for A-Level results day
I love Disney's Animal Kingdom park, and Typhoon Lagoon. We are also going to Universal Studios to see the new Harry Potter park - Diagon Alley. We were last there when Hogsmede and Hogwarts opened... I had to be dragged out of the park by two tired teenagers
Like you CG, I lost weight walking last time too

We're doing a river cruise this year. Burgundy, River Rhone and Provence in mid June.
Can't wait.

GD I believe Harry Potter world is even more fabulous now. Wands which "cast spells" the train & walking through the pillar at train station. Son and GF going to Florida at end of April & spending first couple of days at Universal.

Don't need to go to the US, Harry Potter was filmed at Alnwick Castle

Yes, but the way in which Harry Potter world at Universal has been built is amazing. Holograms of characters hiding in walls, oh & the ride on the broomsticks is amazing. I panicked before going on it, thinking it might be like a roller coaster ride, which I hate. It was so well thought out. If I ever go back I'd go to Universal in a heartbeat. They are moving on faster than Disney.
