He has always been the same CLKD. Well since he was a teenager. I very clearly remember making him two sandwiches for lunch and used a whole tin of salmon. His comment was.......Did you use a small tin mum  ;D

He is one of those boys that you would rather keep for a week than a fortnight.

That's why my finances have improved Taz.....he moved out. Occasionally I  tell him about meal deals. The M&S ones. It does hubby and I and can even stretch to three if my daughter is around. He has one just for him  :o

It's not fair that one person can each so much and remain thin.

My DD & partner are pondering over what to feed us at New Year. We have no preferences, however her partner wants to make a fancy orange cake he saw on cookery show last week which requires unwaxed oranges. Any ideas where on earth to get them, or maybe oranges aren't waxed.

If you wash the Orange in warm soapy water that dewaxes them. Just rinse really well and leave to dry....job done  ;D

Hi ladies - Christmas dinner - ah the joys.  I usually do it,  moan about it bit it's usually good - thanks to my almost OCD preparation lol.  This year ' to give me a break' my daughter and partner want to do it.   But at the last minute they haven't got time to do the veg shop and so have sent me massive list.......
But I am going to try and leave them to it - I am in charge of the meat, grqvy and roasts. As we are having turkey and beef - what gravy do you make.  Do you do two?
I have to transport everything cooked from my house to their house ( half mile so not for but still tricky on Xmas day - no early glass champers for me as I will have to drive).
But the gravy - do I need to make two?? And if not,  would beef gravy suit turkey?
Pass the port..........

I'd make two.  Wouldn't fancy beef gravy on turkey or vice versa.

Just picked up the turkey (my son got one as a Christmas present from work) - it's massive and isn't even in a plastic bag, can't cope with unwrapped poultry in my fridge.  Have completely wrapped it in foil.  I think it is a posh one, it came in a box.  It will be wasted on me, I will cremate it and smother it in gravy.

Unwrapped poultry is OK on the bottom shelve, [shelf?]: however, I understand that some turkeys can take up the *whole* fridge  :o ……….
